Stop Signing In and Out of Multiple Google Accounts: How to merge your Google accounts

Do you have multiple accounts with Google.com?

If you started signing into Google with your own email address and then later made a gmail account or if you started with your own gmail account and later got a seperate corporate email account tied to Google Apps, you have probably had to sign in and out of Google multiple times a day. It quickly gets annoying.

For example, I have an @nightlylabs.com email address that is tied to Google Apps on top of my main @gmail.com email. I already set up an email forwarder but I still have some Google tools under my nightlylabs.com email (Google Analytics, etc.)

Google's Account List Thanks a recent update by the incredible engineers at Google, there’s now a way to merge all of your google accounts together by simply adding accounts to a list.

Here’s the step by step guide:

Sign in to your main google account. Just go to www.google.com and sign in as usual.
On any Google webpage, click on the Settings and then the “Google Account Settings” option in the top right corner of the page.
Under the “Personal Settings” section, next to “multiple sign-in” click on the “Edit” link.
Click on the “On” selection circle and read the instructions right below it, checking off the checkboxes as you go. Hit save at the bottom of the page.
Now, when you reload any Google.com webpage, you should notice a downward pointing arrow in the top right corner of the screen. Click on the down arrow and select “Sign in to another account”.
Login to another account you have with Google. If you didn’t already complete steps 1-5 with that account, you may need to do so.
To make sure it all works, log out of Google and log back in using the account you added. From now on, you should be able to transition from one account to another just by clicking on the down arrow and selecting the account from the drop down list.
